Hi,
I've been trying to get my Lexmark Z22 working, but I can't. I checked linuxprinting.org and found that lexmark's 'official' z32/22 driver doesn't support the USB connector, but that espgs-7.05.6 has a Open source lexmark driver that works fine. I got and replaced the package and installed ijg's jpeg compression library as well. But still with the lxm3200 driver it doesn't work. http://www.linuxprinting.org/newsportal/article.php3?id=1669&group=linuxprinting.lexmark.general
The printer seems to catch the odd signal by making a noise. But that's as far as it got.
Here's my /etc/printcap entry:
lp:\
:lp=/dev/usb/lp0: \
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp: \
:mx#0: \
:sh: \
:if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:

and here's the filter:

#!/bin/bash
cat | mpage -4 | gs -sDEVICE=lxm3200 -sOutputFile=- -sPAPERSIZE=a4 -r600x600 -q -
exit 0

any help would be great..

thanks.
