Hi all!
I have 4 XP boxes, 1 running Wingate to share acces to internet and a mail server.

I have 1 RH8 Linux box connected to the LAN.

The Linux box also has XP installed and I have succesfully mounted its files.

I want to be able to see all the other XP's on the LAN and the printer, which is shared. I understand I need to set up Samba.

I downloaded xsmbrowser, cause its a gui, thinking it would be easier for a simpleton like me.

downloaded and installed the RPM succesfully.

But what then. how do I run it. Where is its executable?

I know this is basics, and Ive read stuff everywhere, but its either double dutch or simply never works when I try to follow the instructions.

Where is the best place to get simple, layspeak help for linux.

Ta!

/usr/bin/xsmbrowser is how you start it from the look of the webpage. This is a gui for sambaclient which is used to mount windows filesystems. Samba is a server which is used for shareing out linux filesystems to windows boxes. If for some reason the command above doesn't work you can do whereis xsmbrowser to try and find it.
