Let me know if any card will actually work (I mean fully with wep enabled) in Linux and I will buy one of those cards.

--and I don't want to see this error: SET failed on device wlan0 ; Function not implemented. when I try to set the essid or anything else!

Heh, I love that error :D

I hear that an Orinoco based card can have near all wireless functions...after being patched. If you dig around on the wlan-linux site you should be able to find a link to the patches (might be a couple links down...) I've seen it, just never tried it. Red Hat isn't very patch friendly ;)

I think I have used a Cisco Aironet 340 card ok. Can't remember if it actually worked but Cisco does have the drivers on their website and it should work. The 350 is simmilar so I think it will work as well. My recomendation is that you look on the Cisco site, they have some pretty good wireless cards, check if they support linux (I think they do but don't take my word for it)

I am now responding from Mandrake 9.1 on my Fujitsu Lifebook Series C using an Orinoco Gold card! It is ripping fast going through a Linksys Router/AP to Adelphia cable -now if I could just get it working in SuSE.... this is definately cool!
