Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : No HostRAID support in Red Hat?
Okay I've done some looking around and it appears that HostRAID is not supported under Linux. Is this true? I saw that there are drivers for my scsi card and those load fine (Adpatec 29320R) ...... but when I hardware RAID Linux can't see my drives and it seems it's the lack of HostRAID support .... anyone got this to work?

I am having a similar problem...new IBM xSeries 226 servers...using HostRAID trying to RAID 1 mirror. I set up the RAID in the BIOS...start the install.....no problem but when I get to Disk Druid it looks like Linux sees the drives seperately and not 1 entity like I would expect for RAID 1.
Is it me? I'm new to this so I'm not really sure how this works.

can you give us a hand here, like what distrobution you are installing, but more importantly what kernel
i would imagine if this is a new enough piece of hardware you will need a newer kernel to support it properly
this is an u320 device correct? which the kernel docs report is suppored by the AIC-79xx drivers in the kernel, perhaps you just need to recompile your kernels to add in the support to meet your specific needs
